Set up your Home Address (all models)

To set your home address:

In the Find & Go Main Menu, tap Settings / General / Set Favourite Destinations to put in your home and work addresses (and save having to key them in when you want to go to either - from anywhere).

Don't write it in next to 'Home' - that's just the label for the address to be saved to. You can change the label eg if you're not working, you can change "Work" to "Favourite Watering Hole"

Tap Change Address

Is your home town or suburb listed on the new  screen?

                         
  If yes - tap the line to highlight it

The top line will now read select City/ (your State), Australia. 

If the State listed is not the one you live in, you need to change states :

•   tap Change State   (top rh corner)

•   tap your State's name in the list

•   key in the name of your town or suburb (using the keypad)

•   tap your town or suburb's name in the list that comes up

•   key in your street name

•   tap your street name in the list that comes up

•   key in your street number

•    tap done (in the bottom rh corner)

Now you're back in the favourite destinations screen - and your home address is set up so your GPS can find it whenever you tap home. Follow exactly the same process to input your Work address.

TROUBLESHOOTING: 

Can't find a town or suburb

•  are you in the right state of Australia?

•  have you got the spelling right?

•  if the name has 2 words eg Hampton Heights - did you tap the space bar between the two words?

Can't find street name in our suburb or town?

Sometimes the map data will list your street as being in another suburb. There are two ways to check if the street is listed.

Find by single letter

•  select your town or suburb from the list

•  tap in the first letter of your street name and tap done

a list of every street containing that letter comes up - in your town/suburb and adjacent ones. scroll through the list and , when you find it, tap it to highlight

Find by street name

•  select the widest posible area for your search  eg tap in sydney, melbourne (can also be done by state in the smaller states)

•  key in the street name and tap done

this will bring up a list of every street of that name in the area or state - just tap to select yours

Set using geographic coordinates 

If all else fails (particularly if you are in a new estate which may not have your street listed yet), and if you are at home and have satellite connection, instead of tapping Address  - select Coordinate and tap done

Your address will then listed by both it's latitude & longitude, plus it's closest street address
