Set up your keyboard - ABCD or QWERTY

Logic Gear GPS Navigators are designed so you can enter letters or numbers quickly and easily. The full screen keyboard pops up when you need to enter an address, and you just tap in the letters or numbers using your fingertips.

You can choose between a separate ABCD and separate numeric keypad, or you can use the QWERTY-type keyboard.

qwerty keyboard

To change keyboard style, tap Keys in the bottom RH corner of the screen. You make the selection when you first enter an address, and the GPS will remember the format until you change it by tapping Keys again

The alphabetic keyboards do not contain special characters - you don't need to enter accents when searching forn a destination. You just type the base letters and the program will add the encessary accents.

Use the space bar in place of an apostrophe.

If your town or street name has two words  eg Baden Powell Drive, tap the space bar between the first and second npart of the name

If you make a typing error, just press the Back Arrow at the bottom of the screen to remove the errant letter.

Always hit Done (bottom RH corner) once you've finished entering the letters (most times you won't get the full name in - once you've entered 3 letters your GPS will usually generate a list containing these for you to make a selection from).

ABC-type keyboard

This keyboard has large, finger-friendly easy-to-read buttons (handy if you wear glasses).

If you need to enter numbers instead of letters, just tap the Keys button to switch to the numeric keyboard.

Note:  if you use a program language that uses Latin letters, only the ABC keyboard appears. If you choose the Greek language, an additional keyboard appears with Greek letters. Similarly Hebraic or Cyrillic letters appear when Hebrew or Rissuan are chosen in Set up / Languages.

QWERTY-type keyboard

The QWERTY keyboard has both letters and numbers - similar to your Australian PC keyboard.

The Numeric Keyboard

The numeric keyboard only contains numbers, on huge buttons.

The Coordinates Input keyboard

This keyboard only comes up when you tell your GPS to select an address by it's coordinates - it includes numbers,  N/S E/W and the other characters required for input
