Set your Security Password (PIN)

Your Logic Gear SL350D is protected with Password Security. Every time your GPS is turned on, you are required to enter your 6 digit PIN to enter GPS. 

When you first turn on, enter the factory setting PIN number digits " 1 2 3 4 5 6".

We recommend you change this PIN to your own selection of numbers - but please make sure you record you new PIN number and keep it in a safe place in case you forget them. Unless you enter your PIN number, your SL350D will stay locked and you won't be able to proceed further.

Enter your PIN:  Enter your PIN number by tapping the digit keys then tap Confirm (the return arrow) to proceed

Change PIN:

1. Tap the Step Up button (picture of the spanner) to access the PIN code updates screen and change your PIN.
2. Write down the 6 numbers you are going to use in your new PIN 
3. Enter your original PIN, then enter your new PIN and reconfirm your new PIN by entering the numbers again
4. Tap the Confirm button to proceed
5. On the new screen, key in your new PIN number to open the Main menu and start GPS
6. File your new PIN number away in a safe placve where you can readily find it if your forget the numbers.

Tip 1:  one of your first things you should do when you get your SL350D is set your Home Address inside GPS so you have quick and simple proof of ownership should you ever forget your PIN.

Tip 2: when you're on a trip and your unit is always with you, you can put your SL350D into sleep mode if you don't want to bother with entering the PIN. But if you going to leave the unit alone make sure you turn it off so no-one else can access it without your permission

Forgotten PIN?: 

If you forget your PIN you will need to contact Logic Gear on 1300 882 896 and arrange to return your unit so we can reset it for you. As a protection for you, PIN reset numbers will not be released over the phone or by email.

Note: If the touch screen does not respond and you are unable to tap the digit keys to enter the PIN, press and hold the Menu button for 3 seconds to enter Screen Recallibration. Your screen will be blank with a  +  in the middle. Press down on the +  each time it jumps around the screen until OK appears - then tap the screen to return to the PIN number page and you can enter your PIN
