Tap Sound to set up the volume strengths for your GPS voice and screen taps.

Tap SOUND To set up your GPS volume controls

Your GPS voice & sound volume levels operate completely independently of your MP3 and video volume levels that you set in the device main front menu.

All your GPS volume and sound strength controls are set INSIDE GPS settings

Set Sound & Voice Volumes

 1.  the Master Volume Control sets the overall loudness of your Logic Gear Navigation audible instructions - voice and key sounds levels.

The slider allows you to range volume from mute to maximum - just slide it along the slot.

The indicator box shows a white vertical line inside (as above) when it is ON - and means you can hear all voice instructions and keypad taps to whatever volume level you've set the slider

If there is no white vertical line inside the black box, you've turned the master volume control off ie muted it - and you will not receive any voice instructions or keyboard tap sounds while driving.

You'll still see your map with moving arrows but you won't have commentary.

If the Master Volume Control is set at OFF inside Settings,  the map speaker icon will have a red cross over it when you're navigating inside map or cockpit view (the icon mute button works in tandem with the master volume on/off key )

The good news is, when you tap the speaker icon on your map screen to get rid of the red cross,  you automatically turn the master volume setting back on again - you do not have to back into gps settings and reset.

Control the loudness using the slide control - loudest when set to the right and fading away to nothing as you move it further left.

2. Voice Control sets the strength of the voice commands. Again, the slider controls the voice strength. At maximum, the volume is automatically set to the level you have set by the master control.

Make sure Voice Control is ON and has the white vertical line in the box - if not you won't hear voice instructions when in the maps, even though the speaker icon is showing as working ie no red cross.

Unlike the Master Volume Control, your Voice Control does not work in tandem with your map's speaker icon - you have to go into settings to change it.

3. Key Sound Volume.  Key sounds are audible confirmations of tapping instructions on the touchscreen - operate the same way as for volume controls

4. Dynamic Volume automatically increases your GPS speaker loudness when you're travelling at higher speeds to compensate for increased road or in-vehicle noise.

Dynamic Sound Volume Control

Set the speeds to the minimum and maximum to suit your road conditions and vehicle noise levels.

5. turn on Attention Tone and your GPS will make a single or double attention tone before the next voice instructions start.

Tap the arrow in the top Left Hand Corner to return to the Settings menu.
