Turning your SL350F on and off


Your SL350F has two switches that affect ON and OFF - the Keylock switch on the RHS, which will be OFF when you first look at your unit, and a main "Sleep / Power ON/OFF" button on top of the unit. You need to turn the Keylock Switch to ON before using the top Switch when you first power up your unit.

If you are inside Navigation (or any of the programs) and you move the Keylock Switch from screen ON to screen OFF, it will freeze your screen so when you tap it, nothing happens. This is to stop you accidentally bumping it and starting navigation inadvertently - you don't need to be told to turn left in the supermarket aisle.  To unfreeze, just move the Keylock Switch back to ON.

The top button is the Main Sleeper/Power ON switch. When you first turn on, after turning on the Keylock switch, press down gently (don't force) and hold until your screen starts bringing up the Logic Gear Navigation Main Menu screen. The ON/OFF button is quick and easy to use while your SL350F is sitting in its cradle. 

For normal operation eg when you're out of the car and the GPS is in a case or handbag, we recommend you always lock the screen using the side Keylock switch - you can still listen to your MP3 music while you stroll.
