First Things First

Your SL350 is a great little unit - but it's also a sophisticated electronic device with it's own mini computer. You just need to tap the screen with a fingernail or the stylus to get action - not press down hard to force it to move. Please be a little gentle with it.

Your map is already loaded onto the SD card in your pack . You can also use the SD Card slot to load a separate SD card to play your MP3 music or videos - or maps for other countries that you can purchase online. You will also be able to purchase and download Sensis Map updates as they are released - but the next release is not scheduled until 2008. Please do not load music or video files onto your map SD card - this will avoid the risk of your map data catching a terminal virus.

Firstly - the Manual

We know it's a slog - and there are bits missing - so we'll try to answer your queries here. But you do need to know that there's a printing error in the SL350 Manual about charging - when your GPS is fully charged, the the Red light goes OUT, not changes to Green.

Software Updates:

Some early SL350 models had a software glitch that affected setting the local time zone. If you have this problem, go to ftp://user:modidio@121.15.245.205, where you'll find software update files and instructions on how to copy them to your SD card.  It's really simple - you don't open them - just copy and paste - and it solves the problem immediately.

Map Updates:

You'll find the list of all currently available maps for your SL350 under Logic Gear Maps for Sale. You can buy online and we will forward your new map on an SD Card.
